Fine artist Brent Wadden has found his Me`tier as seen below in a short film depicting a man flipping through a magazine. As if searching for a path in life and ironically, or perhaps metaphorically, his work as a painter may parallel the life and early predilection of B-Actor Warren Davis, long time contributor to the television industry by trade, and original creator of Q*bert.

An earnest and distinguished artistic depiction of Warren’s early work, also clearly influenced by the later tri-force inflicted Zelda series, sets this artist into a league of his own amongst other retro-renegade artists such as Maxwell Paternoster and Daniel Brereton. We can’t imagine anybody is more thrilled than Warren Davis, happy to see his work being reclaimed by youthful artists, finding a sense of fearless nostalgia and 8-bit abandon in a long lost pinnacle of game art.

Pretty awesome artist from Sweden, Stina Persson has these beautiful cut-out illustrations of women used commercially and in a fine art fashion and mixed catalog of photo-mashed-with-watercolor pieces that are mind blowing.

Reminds me of the avant-gard shit I was doing in grade 5 when I made fingerpaintings sans fingers. It was like a puppet show/murder mystery with a gallery of clues on Miss Brudelle’s skirt. Needless to say I was ahead of my time.
